Intended Audience: Iowa Talented and Gifted 2026 Spring Conference Attendees

Course Description: This course encourages attendance at the 2026 Virtual Spring ITAG Conference and reflection on the learning from the sessions attended. Content reflections will be unique to each individual, but all will be in the field of advanced learning. The course will be a combination of attendance at the conference and submission of reflections online.

It is intended to engage those new to advanced learning and those who may need credit in working toward their Iowa TAG endorsement.

Course Objectives:

  •  
  • Increase awareness of key leaders and theories in the field of gifted education
  • Increase awareness of topics and issues related to talent development
  • Promote active reflection of current trends in the field of gifted education
  • Encourage collaboration among those interested in the field of gifted education
  • Foster advocacy for advanced students within school settings

Course Requirements:

  1. Attend the virtual Spring ITAG 2026 Conference facilitated by the Iowa Talented and Gifted Association on April 15, 2026.
  2. Attend a session for each designated time frame.
  3. Complete and submit reflections through ICON by May 8, 2026.
  4. Complete and submit additional project work by May 8, 2026.
