About the Module: This asynchronous module provides educators with essential guidance on maintaining professional ethics and setting healthy boundaries while fostering meaningful relationships with students and their families. As teachers strive to create supportive and impactful connections, it is crucial to navigate the fine line between being approachable and maintaining professionalism. This module explores strategies to build strong relationships without compromising ethical standards or licensure requirements, ensuring educators can support their students effectively and responsibly.
Learning Goals:
- Understand Ethical Standards: Educators will gain a comprehensive understanding of ethical standards related to licensure, focusing on maintaining professionalism while building relationships with students and families.
- Recognize Boundary Challenges: Educators will identify common scenarios where boundaries can become blurred and learn how to recognize the signs of potential boundary issues in their interactions with students and families.
- Implement Strategies for Healthy Boundaries: Educators will explore practical strategies to set and maintain healthy boundaries, ensuring they can support students effectively without overstepping professional limits.
- Foster Positive and Professional Relationships: Educators will learn how to cultivate meaningful and supportive relationships with students and families while adhering to ethical guidelines, balancing empathy and professionalism in their daily interactions.

Completion: Educators will have 31 days to complete the module. After submitting an assignment for the module, it might take anywhere from 1-2 weeks for it to be graded. As soon as all assignments are submitted and graded, you will receive an email letting you know you've completed the module. Also, if you don't complete the module in time, you will not receive your certificate of completion.
